Artist's Profile

I create "Pointillist Photography" images that are timeless, impressionistic and ultramodern using only light, lenses, and film.

Time and Space Travel is my ongoing passion.

I hope you enjoy my work, and consider buying a print for your home, office, or studio.  Contact me by email, and I will work with you to find the perfect image, size and mounting option to fit your vision and budget.

For 20 years I've been collecting, studying, and photographing thousands of antique travel Kodachromes from the 50s, 60s and 70s.   These antique Kodachromes were created by photographers travelling the world decades ago.  I acquired them by auction in the US and Europe and the original photographers are unknown.

The old slides are a portal to travel back in time and across space and see into the viewfinders of those world travelers at the moment they snapped their shutter.

I find Images within Images. Secrets within Secrets.

My photographs are created with an analog camera equipped with customized lenses and lighting. My technique magnifies and highlights the antique Kodachrome film grain with startling accuracy.

There is no digital processing at all in the master photograph which is about 1/100 of the original.  The date in the title is the year of the original Kodachrome.

I've shown and sold my Pointillist Photography over the last 30 years in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Laguna, Sacramento, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Portland, and Tucson.

My art has been selected in several juried gallery, municipal, and museum exhibitions, including Las Laguna Gallery in 2022, Viewpoint Photographic Gallery in 2021, Sacramento's prestigious Axis Gallery 2019 National Juried Exhibition, and Sacramento's famous Brickhouse Gallery in May 2019.

All my images seen here are available to purchase directly from me. Some selected work is available at the Xanadu Gallery in Scottsdale AZ. I can be found on Facebook @pointillistphotography.

I'm currently printing all my work as archival dye infusion brushed aluminum panels, and I can customize the size to your specifications.

My book, "TIME AND SPACE TRAVEL" is a collection of 36 of my most famous images, finely printed on 8"x 8"  heavyweight glossy stock, personally signed and dated.

NEW!  Volume 2 "TIME AND SPACE TRAVEL" with 42 choice images from my 2021-2022 gallery shows is now available!
